The website was set up for a bit of entertainment as when one of the team moved home back in 2022 their new garden came with a well established pond as part of the set up.

Having not had a pond before this meant a lot of learning was required very quickly. These days it now forms an important part of the garden and is well established and healthy – with the fish count rising every year through natural breeding cycles.

Now, with time on our hands it is time to share what we have learned. Especially given a love of both writing and web development which makes this an ideal outlet.

So if you want to know natural ways to keep your pond looking great, or the technicalities of how a UV steriliser works then this is the place for you.

As well as covering all the technical aspects of owning and maintaining a pond, there will also be some fishy trivia to enjoy.

No ponds are off limit either…. just because you don’t have a big 3000 litre pond does not exclude you. Just as nice are well managed raised ponds kits sat on the patio or decking – there’s a solution for everyone, it doesn’t have to be huge and time consuming.
